Carson Alread Third In Championship Heading Into Holiday Break

Duluth, MN (December 10, 2018) – Carson Alread continued his progression as an emerging star in the Sport class, winning three of four qualifying heat races as the AMSOIL Championship Snocross tour made a stop in Jackson, Wyoming for rounds three and four of the series.

Alread had a mechanical issue in his second qualifier on Friday, which relegated him to the back row of the final. On Saturday, Alread swept his heat races and moved from a front row starting spot in the main event to fourth overall, just missing his second podium finish of the season. Carson is now just 19 points out of the Championship lead heading into the holiday break.

Pro racer Corin Todd, hovered around the top 10 spot all weekend with ninth and eleventh place finishes in the main events. Todd is 10th in points and looking forward more seat time and testing before the series resumes in Minnesota at the start of the new year.

With the season-ending injury to Nick Lorenz, young Canadian racer RJ Roy, was signed to fill the seat in the Pro Lite class for the remainder of the season. Given the quick transition there were some definite nerves and adjustment to the new surroundings but RJ brought a real spark and we are confident he will be a force in the Lites class as the season rolls on.

The team transporter is making a stop today at an Open House with our clothing partners Klim in Rigby, Idaho. The riders are also spending a couple of extra days out west riding in the mountains with the folks from Klim before heading home for Christmas. The series returns to action on January 4-5 at the always pivotal rounds at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota.
