Lorenz Back On The Podium In Fargo, Alread Scores Another Top Five

Duluth, Minn. (February 8, 2021) – Nick Lorenz used a 4-2 qualifying effort to position himself with a key starting spot on the front row of the Pro Lite final at round seven of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross series. Lorenz quickly jumped out to fourth place in the main event aboard his Klim/Jack Link’s Polaris and held the spot through lap eight, when he made the move into third.

Carson Alread opened the weekend with a qualifying heat win and was looking to carry over his success at round 6, but was caught up in a first turn tangle at the start of the final. It took nearly a full lap for Alread to get back on his sled and the resulting damage forced an early withdrawal from the race.

On Saturday, Carson came back strong going 1-1 in qualifying and quickly made his way to fourth place in the final, where he would finish just three seconds out of a podium spot. Lorenz came out of the blocks in eighth place and advanced as high as sixth, before dropping one spot on the last lap to finish seventh.

Both riders have been progressing in the championship after getting off to a slow start with Lorenz now tied for fourth in the standings and Alread right behind in fifth.

Emil Harr had his best overall weekend of the season in the Pro class. Harr finished third in every round of qualifying during the two days and posted main event finishes of sixth and seventh. After a run of bad luck in mid-January, Harr is working hard to get back into the top five on a consistent basis as he continues to climb the points ladder.

Fargo presented one of the better courses of the season but brutally cold temps made for a long two days for the entire team. With no event this weekend, riders and crew will regroup and prepare to keep the upward momentum going as we get ready for another new tour stop in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on February 19-20.
