JM DUAL PODIUM IN ROUND 3
After a month-long hiatus for the holidays, the series roared back to life for rounds two and three at the “Daytona of Snocross,” Canterbury Park. Located just outside of Minneapolis, this iconic horse track drew massive crowds, packed grandstands (inside and out), and the racing delivered at the most impressive venue on the tour.
FRIDAY | ROUND 2
The Friday night lights started off favorably with Harr and Kamm in triple crown round one as they jumped out to a top five start. Harr wasted no time charging through the field, battling for position with mere fractions of a second separating the top three contenders. After a strong move in the rhythm section, Harr surged into second place, where he would hold firm for the rest of the race. Meanwhile, Kamm fought off the competition to secure a hard-earned fourth. Both riders finished mere seconds behind their competitors ahead.
Round two told a similar story off the start as both riders hoovered around the top five. With five minutes remaining in the round, disaster struck for Harr as he made contact with another rider in a corner, causing him to tip over. Kamm, who was close behind, had nowhere to go and was also caught in the chaos. Both riders were then a lap down, and though they remounted as quickly as possible, there wasn’t enough time to recover, leaving them in 11th and 10th respectively.
With the previous round’s misfortune, Kamm was lined up far outside on the start and Harr in the back row for the final round of the night. The pair had a challenge on their hands from the get go, but rose to the occasion anyway. Harr passed through the field with precision, picking off rider after rider to finish an impressive fourth despite sitting eleventh at the beginning of the race. Kamm, fighting the madness of the mid-pack, ended up in ninth. Despite the setbacks, Harr’s 2-11-4 finishes earned him 5th overall, while Kamm’s 4-10-9 results placed him 9th for the night.
SATURDAY | ROUND 3
Determined to bounce back from the previous night’s finishes, our JM duo came to seek redemption and that they did. Round one saw Kamm rocketing his Polaris machine to the front of the pack off the start, pocketing the StudBoy Holeshot with teammate Harr in tow. As the race unfolded, Kamm found himself holding steady in third and Harr in second- but not for long. True to form, the #31 rallied around the outside for the pass for the lead with two laps remaining where he’d stay.
The snow started coming down heavily at the start of round two. A less than ideal start for both JM riders would make things difficult, leaving them fighting not only against the competition but also the roost, changing track conditions, and limited visibility. The pair finished 5th and 7th when the checkered flag waved.
Round three mirrored the excitement of round one, with Kamm executing the start to perfection, grabbing the lead on the first lap while Harr began fourth. Kamm held strong out front for the majority of the race, but Harr was relentless, sizing up the competition before making his move all the way to the front to challenge for the lead. A JM teammate showdown until Harr got the upper hand in the rhythm section. The duo finished 1-2. 1-5-1 finishes earned Harr a second place overall, while Kamm’s 3-7-2 results secured him the final podium position of third.
