Harr Races To First Pro Podium, Alread Notches Another Top Five
Duluth, Minn. (March 8, 2021)- Emil Harr had a breakout weekend at ERX Motor Park, scoring his first career Pro class podium. After winning multiple heat races and finishing just shy of the podium previous weekends, he finally sealed the deal.
On Friday, Harr used 2-1 qualifying efforts to position himself as the second qualifier for the night’s final. Unfortunately, an early off resulted in bent handlebars and steering post, making him unable to finish out the race, placing fifteenth.
Carson Alread continued his momentum from the previous rounds and picked up a heat race win. In the final, Alread got shuffled back on the start and battled back and forth mid pack finishing eighth on the night.
On Saturday, it was apparent from the start of the day that Harr was a force to be reckoned with. During his first heat race, he battled hard to land the first place position and ran really strong and comfortable out front. Harr got out to a decent start in the final, hovering around the top five when he made some strong early race passes to sit in the top three. Despite multiple podium position battles throughout the entirety of the race, Harr made his first career Pro podium stick with a solid third place finish.
Alread got a good jump in Saturday’s final but unfortunately had a first lap incident with another rider that put him back to around sixth. Alread charged hard throughout the entire race to his final fourth place position, finishing just shy of the podium. Alread leaves the weekend sitting fourth place in the points battle, just six points behind third place.
We’re excited to continue to build off of these successes and take this upcoming off weekend to prep for a new venue in Eagle River, WI on March 19-20.
