Harr Strikes Gold in Deadwood

This past weekend we kicked off the second half of the season in the heart of Deadwood South Dakota, which holds the infamous bullring style track. Fans crowd the rodeo grounds and are closer to the track than any other venue, making for a great atmosphere and a series favorite location.

The Days of ’76 Rodeo Grounds have a history of crowning new winners in the Pro ranks, and this past weekend was no exception. In true Deadwood fashion, history repeated as our very own Emil Harr struck gold in the Black Hills, securing his first career Pro win in Friday night’s final. Harr nailed the holeshot and was four-wide going into the first corner, where he capitalized and rocketed out front, leading the 28-lap final from start to finish.

Our Swedish rider has added multiple podium finishes to his resume so far this season, and is elated to cross this next career milestone off of his bucket list.

“I can’t believe I finally got my first win here in the United States. It is the best feeling ever, I can’t even describe it.  My team and I have been working so hard for this and to finally get it done is a dream come true. I can’t thank everyone enough for the support.”

In Saturday night’s final, Harr navigated his way to another top ten start and swiftly moved up to sixth place in the beginning laps. Here he had a cat and mouse chase through the entirety of the final, trying to break into the top five. Despite his best efforts, he stayed in his final position of sixth. Because of this weekend’s win and consistency, Harr leaves the weekend sitting top three in points.

Teammate Carson Alread was sidelined and unable to compete this past weekend due to a lingering shoulder injury. He is currently working hard and doing everything he can to get back to form in hopes to return for the last few rounds of racing.

Up next we head to our home track, ERX Motor Park in Elk River, MN on March 11th and 12th. We are looking forward to six back-to-back rounds of racing in hopes to close out the season strong.
