Jake Angove Captures Pro Lite Podium Ross Martin Sidelined For Rounds 3 & 4

Lake Nebagamon, Wisc. -December 14, 2015 – Pro Lite rider Jake Angove blew past his opening weekend jitters to race his way directly into the main event during Friday’s round three of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross tour outside of Fargo, North Dakota and earn his first podium of the season with a third place finish.

The performance was especially satisfying as Angove moved through the field to earn his spot on a track that was tough to navigate and pass on all weekend. Warm temps wiped out any natural snow that remained in the Fargo/Moorhead area, leaving competitors with a slushy and somewhat narrow man-made course that challenged set up and visibility for all.

On Saturday, Angove once again qualified straight to the front row of the Pro Lite main and after getting boxed out on the start, put on another strong ride as one of the few riders to move forward where he finished eighth. After missing a final at the opening rounds in Duluth, Angove has now jumped back into the top 10 in class points.

Ross Martin was unable to compete during the weekend as the effects of a broken ankle suffered several months ago in a motocross crash continue to hamper his riding. Martin rode the first round of Pro Open practice on Friday, but the constant left turn of the unusually small course placed too much strain on his right foot. Martin will wear a boot on his foot through the holidays and should be back at 100% when the series resumes at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota on January 8-9.
