Race Season Kicks Off At Hay Days In Minnesota

Duluth, Minn. – September 12, 2016 – For the 50th consecutive year, the Sno Barons Hay Days Grass Drag and Swap Meet in North Branch, Minnesota kicked off the winter racing and riding season in a way that no other event could hope to match.

grass-drags-2016Perfect fall temperatures brought consumers out in droves to get a first look at the new lineup of Polaris snowmobiles, motorcycles, ATVs/UTVs and snowbike conversions, along with the latest and greatest from aftermarket manufacturers from around the globe. The event was particularly exciting for the team as our transporter served as the backdrop for the unveiling of the new Pro 600R race sled, as well as VIP headquarters for a select group of Polaris customers.

Other announcements included the recently finalized 2016-17 AMSOIL Championship Snocross schedule that will see the team return to many of our great traditional series venues, along with two new stops in Winter Park, Colorado and Dubuque, Iowa.

With 2017 machines now on the ground, team riders Ross Martin, Jake Angove and Nick Lorenz have started picking up the pace in their off season programs. Crew members Tony Swiontek, Steve Angove and Mike Bauer are setting up shop at the recently completed Polaris Racing headquarters in Wausau, Wisconsin where they will spend the next 60 days fine-tuning every aspect of mod and stock racers.
