Sun Sets On 2018 Season In Lake Geneva

Duluth, MN (March 20, 2018) – The Nielsen Enterprises Grand Finale in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin marked the end to a challenging season in which the Judnick Motorsports team battled injuries and a steep learning curve for our two rookie racers. Although the overall results were down a bit from previous seasons, there were a number of highlights along the way, including heat race wins and lessons learned that will be great building blocks as we head into the off-season and look forward to 2018-19.
The weather and backdrop at Lake Geneva create a positive, going away, feel for riders, crew and fans. This event is always a team favorite as we get to entertain a number of sponsors who are so vital to us being competitive in the AMSOIL Championship Snocross series. This year we had a large contingent from Axalta, including their customers from the region, who were able to meet the team and tour our transporter on Saturday. The folks from AMSOIL, Jack Link’s, FLY Racing, Renton Coil Spring and KLIM were also on hand and we are so thankful not only for their great products, but the personal relationships we have developed over the years.
Unfortunately, Jake Angove was injured early in the weekend and unable to capitalize on the momentum of his heat race win in Iowa at round 13. Carson Alread raced to a top 10 finish in the Sport class on Saturday and had a heat race win on Sunday. He also managed to claim a top 10 spot in the overall class championship, finishing ninth.
There are some big changes in the works with our Polaris 600R race sled and some additional testing to be done this spring before we start reloading for a fresh and healthy start to next season.
